Het materiaal wordt vanwege zijn ideale zeewaterbestendigheid vooral veel gebruikt in de scheepsbouw en de apparatenbouw.<\/p><p>Met een hardheid van 50 HB en een dichtheid van 2,67 g\/cm\u00b3 biedt het materiaal ook zeer goede lasbaarheid.
